On Feb 13, the court entered a judgment in default of appearance against the defendant. He subsequently posted an apology on Threads on March 19 but failed to comply with the requirement to publish it in two newspapers.
On July 30, following an assessment of damages, the High Court awarded Ng and her company RM180,000 in global damages, with a 5% annual interest and RM10,000 in legal costs.
